Our Commitment

Stress Bucket handles sensitive mental health information. We believe this data is deeply personal and have designed the app to keep your information private and secure.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

Stress level readings and history
Stressors you log (descriptions, categories, intensity)
Coping activities and their effectiveness
Pensieve entries (set-aside worries)
Game scores and usage
App preferences and settings

Data We Do NOT Collect

Personal identification information
Medical or diagnostic information
Location data
Contacts or phone data

Health Data Integration

Stress Bucket can optionally integrate with Apple Health or Google Fit to provide insights on how physical activity affects your stress levels.

This integration is entirely optional and requires your explicit permission
Health data is read locally and never transmitted to our servers
We only access activity data (steps, exercise minutes) - not medical records
You can revoke access at any time in your device settings

Cloud Backup (Optional)

If you choose to enable cloud backup:

Your data is encrypted before transmission
Data is stored securely using Firebase services
Only you can access your data with your credentials
You can delete your cloud data at any time
We do not access, read, or analyze your stress data

Third-Party Services

Stress Bucket may use the following services:

Apple Health / Google Fit - Optional integration for activity data. Governed by Apple/Google's privacy policies.
RevenueCat - For managing premium subscriptions. Does not receive your health or stress data.
Firebase - For optional cloud backup (if enabled). Data is encrypted.

Analytics

Stress Bucket does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics that track individual users. We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports to improve app stability.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal health data with third parties. Your stress and mental health information is yours alone. We will never share it with insurance companies, employers, or advertisers.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

Export all your data from the app
Delete all local data by uninstalling the app
Delete cloud data through app settings (if enabled)
Revoke Health app permissions at any time
Request information about data we hold

Children's Privacy

Stress Bucket is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
