Mood Diary handles your most personal thoughts and emotions. We understand the sensitivity of journal entries and emotional data, and have built the app with privacy at its core.

Data We Collect

Data Stored Locally

The following data is stored only on your device and is never transmitted to our servers:

• Mood entries and emotional states
• Journal entries and personal reflections
• Tags and categories you create
• Mood patterns and insights
• App preferences and settings

Data We Do NOT Collect

• Personal identification information
• The content of your journal entries
• Medical or diagnostic information
• Location data
• Contacts or phone data

Your Journal Entries

Cloud Backup (Optional)

If you choose to enable cloud backup:

• Your data is end-to-end encrypted before transmission
• Journal entries are encrypted so only you can read them
• Data is stored securely using Firebase services
• Only you can access your data with your credentials
• You can delete your cloud data at any time

Third-Party Services

Mood Diary may use the following services:

• RevenueCat - For managing premium subscriptions. Does not receive your mood or journal data.
• Firebase - For optional cloud backup (if enabled). All data is encrypted before storage.

Analytics

Mood Diary does not use advertising SDKs or third-party analytics that track individual users. We may collect anonymous, aggregated crash reports to improve app stability. We never analyze the content of your entries.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties. Your emotional data and journal entries are yours alone. We will never share them with insurance companies, employers, advertisers, or anyone else.

Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Export all your data from the app
• Delete all local data by uninstalling the app
• Delete cloud data through app settings (if enabled)
• Request information about data we hold

Children's Privacy

Mood Diary is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any significant changes through the app. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
