By downloading, installing, or using Mood Diary ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

Mood Diary is an emotional wellness tool designed to help users:

  • Identify patterns in emotional wellbeing
  • Use guided journaling prompts for reflection
  • Visualize mood trends and triggers over time

Important: Mood Diary is a self-help tool and is not a substitute for professional mental health care. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.

If you are experiencing severe emotional distress, depression, anxiety, or any mental health crisis, please seek help from a qualified healthcare professional immediately. In emergencies, contact your local emergency services or mental health crisis line.

4. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for personal, non-commercial purposes
  • Not rely solely on the App for mental health management
  • Seek professional help when needed
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App

5. Journaling Content

Any journal entries, notes, or personal reflections you create within the App remain your property. This content is stored locally on your device and is not accessed, read, or analyzed by us unless you explicitly share it. You are responsible for the content you create.

6. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All personal data including mood entries, journal content, and emotional patterns is stored locally on your device unless you opt-in to cloud backup features.

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, features, journaling prompts, and content, is owned by Andrew Thompson and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.

8. Premium Features

Some features may require a paid subscription. Subscriptions are managed through Apple App Store or Google Play Store and are subject to their respective terms. Refunds are handled according to the platform's refund policies.

9. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any mental health outcomes, data loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
