1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using Bipolar UK Mood Tracker ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

The Bipolar UK Mood Tracker is a free mood tracking app developed in partnership with Bipolar UK, designed to help users:

  • Log daily moods with quick, simple entries
  • Track sleep patterns and medication
  • Recognise early warning signs of mood episodes
  • Share mood data with healthcare providers
  • Complete screening questionnaires

3. Medical Disclaimer

Critical Notice: This App is not a medical device and is not a substitute for professional medical care, diagnosis, or treatment of bipolar disorder or any other mental health condition.

The screening questionnaire provided in the App is for informational purposes only and cannot diagnose bipolar disorder. Only a qualified healthcare professional can provide a diagnosis.

4. Partnership with Bipolar UK

This App was developed in partnership with Bipolar UK, a registered charity. The App is provided free of charge to support the bipolar community. Bipolar UK does not access individual user data and is not responsible for the technical operation of the App.

5. User Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the App only for personal health tracking purposes
  • Continue to work with your healthcare providers
  • Not use the App as a replacement for professional medical care
  • Verify information with healthcare professionals before making medical decisions
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, modify, or distribute the App

6. Sharing Data with Healthcare Providers

The App allows you to export and share your mood data with healthcare providers. You are responsible for deciding what information to share and with whom. We recommend discussing your tracked data with your psychiatrist, GP, or mental health team to support your care.

7. Data and Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy. All personal health data including mood entries, sleep logs, and medication records is stored locally on your device. We do not have access to your personal health information.

8. Intellectual Property

The App is developed by Andrew Thompson in partnership with Bipolar UK. The App design and code is owned by Andrew Thompson. The Bipolar UK name and logo are used with permission from Bipolar UK. You may not copy, modify, or distribute any part of the App without prior written consent.

9. Free Service

The Bipolar UK Mood Tracker is provided free of charge. There are no premium features or subscriptions. The App may display links to Bipolar UK resources and support services.

10. Limitation of Liability

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. Neither Andrew Thompson nor Bipolar UK are liable for any damages arising from your use of the App, including but not limited to any health outcomes, medical decisions made based on App data, data loss, or any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

11. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the App.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of the United Kingdom.
